Our Story
Oystercatcher’s founder, Ryan Maneri, comes from a background in science filmmaking. After earning a degree in Biology, Ryan developed his eye for visual storytelling at Montana State University’s world-renowned Master of Fine Arts program in Science and Natural History Filmmaking.
In 2005, Ryan moved back to Chicago to launch Oystercatcher. His passion for promoting awareness and change through visual media has been the driving force behind Oystercatcher Media. Over the past four years, Oystercatcher has created hundreds of videos in many different fields. The energy that Oystercatcher started with has been growing, and more and more organizations now understand video as a powerful and accessible medium.
Here at Oystercatcher, our mission is to continue to fully explore the possibilities of video in science, business, and education.
